The Friends of Watch Hill is a non – for profit organization whose mission is to promote and support the recreational use of Watch Hill, Fire Island While preserving is natural resources beauty. We are committed to developing And maintaining open, on-going communication with the National Park Service in support our mutual goals. We will conduct and / or participate in raising funds and related activities solely for the purpose of improving the Recreational facilities of Watch Hill. Our priority goal is to enhance the Visitors experience while preserving its natural beauty. The Goals of Friends of Watch Hill Assist in preserving Watch Hill, Fire Island Help maintain mosquito control Stay informed about National Park Service Plans Maintain the beauty of the recreational facilities at Watch Hill
Memberships for the 2013 Season are being accepted. FOWH with your kind support in 2013 will restore a Bocce Ball Court and Horse Shoe Pits that were destroyed by Sandy, Install the new benches at the entrance point to the Marina, and as we know a Heart Defibulator was installed at the General Store Watch Hill, Fire Island is a beautiful seaside area within the Fire Island National Seashore bound by the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay making it an ideal place for nature and beach lovers. It features beautiful beaches a 180 boat Marina and Restaurant (The Pier)

Every Town these days seems to have a Town Clock. FOWH board and its members decided (with the cooperation of the NPS and FIC) to donate a Clock which will serve as a center piece of our small town Watch Hill, F.I. |
