FOWH is proud to announce that on Aug 2nd 2008 we raised more than $13000 for the Donate Life Organization thanks one and all who attended & a special thanks to Geno

Welcome to the Friends of Watch Hill Web Site. We are a
non-profit organization whose mission is to promote and support the
recreational use of Watch Hill, Fire Island while preserving its natural
resources and beauty. We are committed to developing and maintaining
open, on-going two-way communication with the National Park Service in
support of mutual goals. We will conduct and/or participate in raising funds
and related activities solely for the purpose of improving the recreational
facilities of Watch Hill.
Our Priority Goal is to enhance the visitor's experience at Watch Hill while
preserving its natural beauty.

Memberships for the 2008 Season are now due for renewal
FOWH is actively involved with the National Park Service which is conducting
research to determine the Mosquito Magnets effect on mosquitoes and other insect populations.
Watch Hill, Fire Island is a beautiful seaside area within the Fire Island National
Seashore bound by the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay making it an ideal
place for nature and beach lovers. It features beautiful beaches a 180 boat Marina
and new Restaurant (The Pier)
