The Friends of Watch Hill is a non –for profit organization whose mission is to promote and support the recreational use of Watch Hill, Fire Island While preserving is natural resources beauty. We are committed to developing And maintaining open, on-going communication with the National Park Service in support our mutual goals. We will conduct and / or participate in raising funds and related activities solely for the purpose of improving the Recreational facilities of Watch Hill. Our priority goal is to enhance the Visitors experience while preserving its natural beauty. These are the goals of Friends of Watch Hill Assist in preserving Watch Hill, Fire Island Help maintain mosquito control Stay informed about National Park Service Plans Maintain the beauty of the recreational facilities at Watch Hill
Membership Packages & Donor Board Form Memberships for the 2009 Season are being accepted. FOWH is actively involved with the National Park Service which is conducting research to determine the Mosquito Magnets effect on mosquitoes and other insect populations. Seashore bound by the Atlantic Ocean and the Great South Bay making it an ideal place for nature and beach lovers. It features beautiful beaches a 180 boat Marina and new Restaurant (The Pier)
